I break the seal on all my CEs but that's mostly so I can take pictures for you people :-P
I'll put the game disc in a plain DVD case and then set the box on a display shelf so that it doesn't get ruined. sometimes if the CE has a normal game case in a larger box, I'll just pull the game disc out of the case.
