Zavvi make epic eBay mistake, but honours sales

Zavvi (UK online retailer, formerly of the high street before thrust into administration, and then later bought by "The Hut") recently made one hell of a costly cock-up regarding the sale of 507 newly released Red Wii consoles on eBay

Trading as "Zavvi_Outlet", they mistakenly offered 507 UK PAL Red Nintendo Wii consoles for the exceedingly bargain price of £39.99 each, Buy It Now!

However, the confirmation eMail was in fact for a set of headphones, but a later eMail from Zavvi mentioned that there had indeed been a mistake, but they are willing to honour the price in the auction to avoid 507 unwanted negative feedback from disgruntled customers!

Those lucky enough to spot the auction whilst it was live managed to grab themselves a bargain! These consoles typically retail at the RRP of £169.99 in most other high street stores
