G1 is Xbox/DVD sized case, G2 is PS3/BluRay sized case.

Sometimes the game may be different, but usually not. Also, a lot of steelbooks nowadays are preorder bonuses, so actually come with no game inside anyway, and the game seperate, inside a standard game case
