Yeah, I was gutted when it went OoS the first time. Then was more gutted when I saw the size! XD Might have to get this one framed and hang it up. There's a nice space above my TV that it will look ace in. Just not sure how much it's going to cost to get it framed due to the imperial sizing...

Just convince your local framing shop that the US is invading the UK soon and if they don't convert to the imperial system they will be sent to labor camps.

Always works for me

lol I can't imagine that you would have that problem anyway living in the Land of the Imperial System!

I've found a local framing shop online. Will take a trip down there sometime and see what prices we're looking at. Can't have it being stuck in a tube. That's just sad.

Framing is expensive. I think I paid something like $350 to have my oversize The Team litho framed. I went to get an estimate on my Tali giclee the other day, and it turns out that it would end up being about $550 to have her framed up nicely; and that's using acrylic , not glass! Granted, that's using Masterpiece-brand acrylic from Michael's (which is a more expensive type of acrylic that provides max clarity), but still, that's a ton! The guy said that if I used glass, it would probably be $1,000 or more.

Looks like it's going to be staying in the tube then as I just don't have that kind of coin to spare on getting something framed...

Oh, you're doing it wrong. Find a small local shop and they'll do a much better job than Michael's for a lot less money. I've done some really nice 18 x 24 custom jobs with wide mats and museum glass for $250 to $450.

24 x 36 will be steeper, but at least in the States you can get nice pre-made frames for $60 with glass (or even less with a sale). I have a ton of my art in Aaron Brothers frames, or there's Dick Blick in other parts of the country....

I've been using online shops recently and it is a lot cheaper as long as you don't mind putting it together yourself.

http://www.framedestination.com/ Frame Destination has good prices and offer uv acrylic. I am just waiting for another free shipping promo to get a couple of frames and more clear sleeves from them.

Still trying to find good local shop though to frame some of my rare/fragile stuff that I don't trust myself to put together. The estimates I've gotten, however, have ranged from $450-$800 (prints are about 21"x35") and when I can buy everything online for around $200 I have not been able to pull the trigger. Still looking...

Also, weird that acrylic would be more than glass, it's ussaully the other way around.

Cool I'll look into this when I want to start framing some stuff

Thanks
