I just contacted square enix about the issue. I've got a feeling it'll be the same deal with ni no kuni though. No help, order cancelled, sold to the next guy.

you should have asked when you pre-ordered it and they didn't charged you. Now it's no longer available on the website at all...

Hmm, where does it say they charge right away for this product? I'm looking at their store FAQ and it says this:

When will my credit card be charged?

For purchases of physical products, you won't be billed until your product is shipped. This includes any preordered or backordered products. If your items are shipped separately you will be partially billed each time a product is shipped.

Or is it sort of a pre-charge similar to what NISA does with their products? They do a temporary charge right away and then refund it, only to fully charge you just before shipment?
