Not getting offended. I know where I am and I know what forum this is. I know opinions are like assholes, everyone has them. Like I said before, I was not trying to offend or attack the guy. All I was saying was when I see the issues stem up in a non-gaming setting.

To put it into perspective, have you ever been in a situation where you buy a collectible for over $1,000 and a family member feels the need to give you shit for your purchase. Ultimately, everyone will say that you're just doing what you love and it's what you enjoy. Well, that may be true but there will come a point where you will realize all jokes have a little bit of truth to them. Everyone has their limits.

Once again, I apologize for the unnecessary input and I won't pursue this conversation any further. I know I don't have any weight within this community but either way, thank you for taking the time to read my rant.

To answer your question phrased as a statement, yes. I have been in a situation where people harass me for my collection. I laugh at the jokes they make even though there is truth in them. I also know to not take anything to heart because also in the statement you do what you love is truth. They see the passion I, we, have as collectors and commend that. Well, at least those that are your true friends. Others who cares what they think.

haha i was once told that people are too busy with their lives to care about you.

so if someone insults me for being a gamer, or a collector, then obviously they have nothing better to do,. (it's never happened before, but just saying for the sake of the conversation).

i mean we've all been in an embarassing situation before and worry that others wont forget. (not saying being a gamer or a collector is embarassing); but the truth is, ive seen people make mistakes and make a fool out of themselves, but at the end of the day, i forget about them because theres too much going on in my life, (in all of our lives too) that we just forget and dont care about what others think of us, or about other peoples lives.

That's not entirely true. Mostly? Perhaps. But there are people who genuinely care what people are going through, go out of their way to try and help, or at least listen and mourn with ya when you're mourning or rejoice with ya when you're rejoicing. Not EVERYONE is so focused on their own lives that they aren't willing to "inconvenience" themselves to lend a hand at times... its just that many are, and perhaps the majority. But that makes those "special" minorities stand-out all the more. So yeah, keep on gaming and keep on collecting, but if you wanna make a difference, pay attention to those all around you while you're in your pursuits and "care" whenever humanly possible, even if it costs you something. You may find that it wasn't an expense as much as it is an investment

I want these so bad, but the timing is just off - too many other statues and such being released that I've had to let these go...

I am VERY impressed though overall with the quality of these ME statues by GH (even if Liara's biotic powers seemed a bit cheesy and her outfit/stance kinda weird)
