Yeah if you read it, they are retiring it in order to get people to convert to the Vita.
Similar to Nintendo killing a lot of the services for the DS

For the West yes, officially it was Jan of this year. But it's just about to be discontinued for Japan.

Thats nothing thats like the ps2 being discontinuedd yet some companies do make games for it still.

Well I never said games bud. Just the system is being discontinued so they won't produce any more new ones.

Games...who knows. Maybe a while longer. Like your example..look at the PS2

Yeah games are still being released in japan for the psp look at god eater 2 being cross platform play between psp and the vita.
