Statues & Figures Thread - Any & All Game Related

Thought I'd just throw my 2c in here... As a huge Batman fan I would love to pick up the Prime 1 statue as it's everything I could ever hope for in a Batman statue, but two things, actually three things are holding me back.

1. Price, normally I could afford it but the timing at the moment isn't good for me or my family (plus the missus would probably shoot me, lol) + the exchange rate is a killer atm.
2. Space, this thing is huge! I live in a fairly big house but displaying a piece like this would be difficult, which leads me to...
3. Kids, I have three youngsters under seven and I would be petrified everyday to leave the house to go to work & come home to find something smashed on it. Our kids are pretty good & they know not to touch daddy's stuff, but accidents do happen. I'd have to get a glass cabinet or something made up & extra insurance which again adds to the total cost.

Believe me, it is a great value for money piece, but not for me given my situation. I'm waiting to see what SS's next Batman release is - hopefully a statue with a decent pose & price to boot.

People who are big fans of Batman (like myself) and understand the quality of Prime 1's statues.

Thankyou for understanding the point I was trying to make instead of calling me an idiot, thick or some other rude term.
The way you explained why its unaffordable for you makes a lot more sense than the way others in this forums have.
Popcultcha have a pretty good price for it at the moment, but you are right, the exchange rate isn't the best now. Through Popcultcha it works out to be about $100AUD cheaper than if imported yourself.

To the people getting offended by my views, remember this is a DISCUSSION forum. I cannot help if you get overly emotional or offended if I put forth an opinion you do not agree with.

The one thing that is certain, there will be more batman statues especially the way SS is releasing them.

He is just trying to justify his purchase by getting us to agree with him and say we are buying one too or that we also think it is an amazing deal (oh and that if anyone has an different opinion or different views on how you spend your money on collectables you are wrong).

Guys there is no point in discussing with someone who does not take what you say at face value and also thinks the only opinions that are valid are his own (there is no agree to disagree with this person, also sadly he cannot see past his own views and and situation to realize other people have different money flows and different responsibilities... let alone different tastes and collecting priorities).


When he keeps arguing that your opinion is wrong he takes on the "victim" and it is we who are "offended" by his views. We need to respect his opinion about our opinions all being wrong.
