Just a heads-up in case it's missed but that's £50 more than when it was first available.

It was £200 before it sold out and now they have more it's £250 for some reason. (I was sure £200 was the actual RRP before, unless I'm mistaken.)

Yeah, sorry for the misunderstanding, I don't mean that existing preorders will rise in price, I just meant that such a substantial price increase was surprising and also in case anyone blindly ordered thinking it was still £200 then they might have a bit of a shock when they realise.

To be honest I pre-ordered it yesterday at the current price (did not know about the lower initial price) as I was watching this to be available for pre-order again (I missed the first batch). I was happy I did catch one.

Now knowing of a lower initial price I am not so happy anymore and this is what my previous question related to - shouldn't Amazon apply on pre-orders the price guarantee? I swear I read somewhere at Amazon that they have price guarantee rule in case the item will rise on price during pre-orders until the release date.

not sure if i remember correctly but read somewhere that the guarantee rule means you'll be charged lower price if it changed after your purchase.

Found it:

Pre-order Price Guarantee: order now and if the Amazon.co.uk price decreases between the time you place your order and the release date, you'll be charged the lowest price. Here's how (terms and conditions apply)

Which means only if the price decreases from the time my order was placed until the release date I will be guaranteed the lowest price if I understood correctly. So I have to rely on that the price will decrease again starting now till the release date
