Question Anyone know of a cheap postage/courier service from US to Australia

Hello,to all. Well,i did it again & spent yet more hard earned cash but it was some cheap things i couldnt say no to. The problem is the bloke is in the US & little ol' me
is in Australia, normally this isnt a real drama for me,except this time. The items cost a total of $40,postage from the US however is going to cost me $78,i nearly fell
off my chair at that. Question is does anyone know any cheapish courier services or similar that can deliver it to me for way less than that? Tried Parcel2go but they
are trying to tell me its to heavy, which i think is ridiculous. The items to send are:
Bioshock 2 Special Edition
Assassins Creed Brotherhood Collectors(Jack in the box version)

In case your wondering why buy from the US,well both are new & factory sealed,Bioshock only cost me $5 & Assassins $35,
to me thats damn cheap.Well i thought it was until the postage bill arrived, lol.Any suggestions or places to go are appreciated.

What is the Weight and Dimensions? i don't think there is such a thing as a cheap courier service anymore.

I dunno exactly,i reckon with bioshock being the biggest dimension wise,it would have to be approx 35cm x 35cm x 27cm & probably about 2kg in wieght,if that.

I just ran a check based on your spec's @ theparcelnetwork and collectmyparcel and both were really high quotes, even higher than the quote you mentioned!! couriers are only worth considering if your importing/exporting a large quantity of goods in one go.

Not always though, thats why i thought there had to be a cheaper option.
As an example i had a xbox 360 console + all the bits in original box sent
to me from the UK in a slightly larger box.Royalmail service was 128 pounds
for it to be sent to me,parcel2go was only 62 pounds.

The only option for you is USPS, which is $58, As Mos said there is no saving using a courier unless you have many items or a heavy box. such as your Xbox.

Bumps,i have done it again & need some urgent help here.
Have two boxes in the US that i need to sent to me. The seller wont send
by USPS despite it only costing $140,which i dont mind so much. However
he wants me to arrange a courier to collect them from him & send to me.
Items are already paid for,i just cant find any service with a decent price
to send. So far the cheapest is $700 dollars, which is utterly ridiculous, this
is almost twice what the items cost.
So any ideas or help is appreciated

Use this.
Just check "Package" and put the weight.

Thats what i always use,i know what it will cost through USPS but,he
wont do it(though i am hoping he may change his mind) & the cost
through USPS is only $140,which i am ok with. Because he wants it done
by courier & for me to organise courier the best price to datE is $700.
To me $700 is absolutely bs & just throws everything out the window.
