I have a gut feeling that a proper smash bros bundle won't come out until holiday 2015...I think for now, Nintendo wants to recoup as much as possible from selling the game for full retail,..the bundles tend to discount the game aspect of it,..the game itself is probably the "system seller" for this holiday..next holiday I think they will push the bundle package.

Well, all over the internet people are saying that the "Smash Bros. Bundle" was over-promised and under-delivered by Nintendo. Best Buy is manually putting bundles together and giving them to people who even pre-ordered without the box -- others reported that they saw BestBuy employees handing out the boxed bundles to customers in the morning FROM their stash of pre-ordered ones... REALLY hoping this isn't the case with my BestBuy as I didn't have a vehicle today so wasn't able to get down there... just thought I'd give a heads up to others who may be in the same boat.

This looks to be the case. Knight, give your Best Buy a call to make sure they did in fact receive a copy for you and that they have it safely reserved for you (they'll hold it 7 days). Otherwise, Amazon still has some (order limit of 2)...for the moment.

Lesson learned: If preordering limited editions from Best Buy, do so online, not in-store. The downside of preordering online is you have to pay in full up front. But the downside of predordering in-store is they don't actually honor your preorder if they don't receive enough copies. Thanks to an awesome manager I just barely got my two in-store preorders fulfilled.

Although it doesn't say "limited edition" or "collector's edition" anywhere on it, I have a strong feeling that there will not be more than one run of these bundles here in the US. It's totally sold out at all GameStops and Best Buys everywhere around me. Everyone I talked to today said they don't expect to get any more.

No worries, was able to pick it up without any issue tonight - the manager who I've worked with before had them all reserved with names on them behind the c/s counter and was lamenting the "fiasco" that was caused by other BB's who "didn't do a 'darn' thing right with their pre-orders". because of this i forgave the fact that it took him and the associate 3 tries and 35 minutes to ring me out with a fairly simple transaction. Happy to have walked away with this for ~$60 out of pocket though

Oh awesome. My Best Buy had the names on the reserved copies too, and the manager said they hadn't sold any copies to anyone without a preorder, it was just that they had been shorted on the supply side. And I can't speak for other Best Buys, but this one was shorted by exactly the number of orders that had been placed in-store (like mine were). There had been 16 preorders placed---6 in-store and 10 online for in-store pickup---and they only got in 10 copies.

Took me at least 35 minutes too but it was far from a simple transaction, that's for sure. So, what happened, did they end up charging you for the standard edition instead of the Bundle?

Also, don't forget to register the PIN on Club Nintendo to get the SSB soundtrack bud.

Any particular reason why you're selling it?

it has a ding or two on the box..and that just eats me up alive,..so i rather not keep it..i don't want to keep returning things to the store..in order to avoid getting "blacklisted"..i've seen that happen before, if you make a habit out of it..and i've done my fair share of returns, if i'm not happy with how it turned up..so i figure i could maybe try to sell it here first..otherwise..i will just do the return.but i bet,..it would only INCREASE in value.lol.but i can't afford to hold on to it, with all the other stuff on the horizon.

Yeah I hear ya. Condition is super important for sealed copies. And yeah, no doubt the value is going to go straight up at least until Christmas.
