After some debate I decided to go ahead and purchase this edition. I already own the DS3 dev-team edition and these will go great together.

Treehouse Ryan- Please continue making these deluxe box sets for future games as I'd love to own a collection of them!

I still want my games on a disc!

Having held it in my hands I believe that it is indeed chipboard (or something very similar). I think I mentioned this in the unboxing video.

The walls of the box are very thick (~3-4mm), Very strong and very sturdy but NOT made of metal. The box is actually completely smooth. the texture that you see is is just the design printed on the box.

It's a very similar construction to the Forza 5 Paddock Edition that they made. I can't really think of any other Editions with a high quality box like this. I know I've seen a similar construction on other release but which ones eludes me.

---------------

FWIW the one I unboxed I had to send back to Treehouse once I was done with the video. I ordered one for myself but haven't yet received it, nor have I received a shipment notification
