Sorry, my bad didnt realise these people were british. makes me even more mad. i believe when this happens the companies can claim for lost goods in their tax returns. so its actually a loss to government revenue. please correct me if im wrong.

If this is the case why should companies care if they can claim it back?
Maybe our laws here need rewriting if it is the case.
They should pay extra to send recorded delivery

If someone in the know does know claim procedures for companies and lost items I would be very interested to know more.

these people are probably also part of the large scale riots last year.

I confirm my PS3 Edition came in Mint condition - I was making quite a drama about this, but all ended well! Now I'm not sure if I should return the Xbox version or keep it the way it came.

I don't know the law in the UK (I just now how the legal system works in general), but in most places companies are insured so they can bear a percentage of losses and the insurance company will pay that amount. And on the other hand, those losses can count when you are making your balance.

For me this was my first experience shopping on zavvi, and was surprise how cheap the shipping was. Now I know the reason. I would have no problem in paying extra (as I've done a lot of times) if that will ensure me that the package will arrive in time and in perfect condition.

easily the zavvi can just cancel out paypal as a payment option.. that way the company can either choose to refund via credit card or not.. or usually no refunds but just send replacement.. dodgy I know you can have plenty replacements sent but then again all arrived damaged so not worth it..to get refund you must send the item back.

that is why when I sell something on Ebay, I offer tracking... that way no one can lie about it..

Also even though I have not received my MGS HD Collection yet, I have yet to file a claim with paypal. I prefer to contact them properly first. If they choose to ignore then I'll go paypal.

My ebay always now ALWAYS sends with tracking. It cost just an extra 75p to do this within the uk but £4.95 worldwide.

I dont understand why companies dont spend this much extra to asssure themselves that people are not going to claim for an item as noot recieved.

Again, I feel this is why some companies do not ship outside there own territory.

This problem caan then be contained and tracking prices are kept to a minimmum by not exporting.
