Well I always thought that if you write to anyone nicely, you will get a nice response..

Just got a reply from the customer service, they will send me a self declaration form within 48 hours. I need to sign and send them back via email. I can either request for refund/ replacement.

One thing I just remembered is that the platinum copy of MGS4 was not included. Did anyone received the platinum copy inside the limited edition box?

No, the platinum copy of MGS4 is just a regular game...its outside the box, so they didn't send yours

I'm surprised that with over 100+ pages of basically zavvi are rubbish and what am absolute mess they have made with this item worldwide, that my actions with getting a refund seem to be replied with the pretty much "how can you do that, to zavvi!?"

never mind ay roll on the sale when I can repurchase for the Steelbook!

1) Claiming the item was damaged when it was not = A Lie

2) Sending the CE back but keeping the Platinum MGS 4 = Fraud or Theft whichever really

And you are surprised people say "how can you do that"? Regardless of how rubbish Zavvi may be, you cant morally justify your actions

I'll have to admit it was a little damaged nothing major though as for MGS4 it wasn't advertised to come with the item anyway so it's not exactly theft, have you never had company's mess up orders for you?? In the past 6 months play.com accidently paid me twice for a playtrade sale and game only charged me for 1 of my 2 MW3 hardened editions - its all the same.

Yes companies have messed up my orders in the past but i deal with it via the proper channels, if the item was damaged then yes you do have a right to return it based upon that which i fully accept. Although you did say originally it was MINT and you punched it to damage it.

And yes although MGS 4 wasnt advertised it would have been right to return it with MGS HD because it was a bonus for first 4k pre orders. After all its still a cost to them and you profited from it. Come on man, you punched the CE, the least you could have done was return the free bonus as well.

Your philosophy about companies and their mistakes unfortunately is skewed. On the one hand you are saying they make mistakes and should live with the consequences, yet on the other hand you fail to acknowledge you made a mistake in not cancelling your preorder. Rather than accept this and pay for return postage, you damaged the CE intentionally to get it returned for free and sell the free bonus for profit. This is not a balanced viewpoint and you have changed it suit you
