Pleasantly surprised with the staute. Looks like it's definitive worth the extra bucks. Agree that the best you can get in CEs is statues. I would buy the artbook anyways so I'm fine with the small version in the CE.

Still debating hard on picking this up or wait for sales. Not in the rush to play UC4 yet.

I would be too scared for spoilers to not pick it up at launch. So many of my favorite tv-series have been destroyed by people on especially youtube screaming out spoilers.

I'm like spoiler dodger. I usually don't get spoiled at all unless someone literally say stuff like DRAKE DIED in my facebook.

I don't watch reviews as well since I keep myself as spoiler free as possible for the longest time.

Can't really justify paying $200 for this yet. Its $80 dollar extra from the special edition just for the statue.

In that case, maybe you should wait. I don't know what it's with me and getting spoiled, but it seem to happen every time I visit a youtube video about a show I like etc. I often seem to forget that shows usually air earlier in USA than in Norway.

The CE is $200 here, and for me it was no question if I should order it or not. But yeah we pay a lot for the statue, just hoping it's good quality. If your not that in to it the special edition is cool too though.

It should be around a $100 statue I think. Again it should be of this quality (same company):

A figure of almost 70€ in price (even though it's a different company and material ->pvc) should have at least that kind of detail

Spoiler!
Yeah anime is a lot easier to sculpt for though (let alone paint and detail for). I can tell that is an anime character without even knowing the anime he goes to (if he is not an anime he is a character made to look like he is from an anime).

But agree that statue looks like it is done really well. There is also a big difference in material and design... so this is not really a good reference for this type of statue (realism type).

It's indeed different in material and design, but the point I want to make is that after a price figures must have all kinds of great details, from the painting, to the sculpting and the pose. Everything must be of a level and above in order for the figure to be a good one.
For example, if the sculpting is great, but the painting is awful, the figure will still be awful (e.g figure of the EU bravely default CE).

It's 130 €(~150$)here.

It's 150 here.

Yeah I agree completely on that. I am just saying you need to compare like to like. If you apply an anime type statue as the standard then you are going to be in the couple hundred dollar or more range in realism type statues (the only good exception I have seen to this rule is inFAMOUS Second Son statue... but if that were a sideshow or some other company they would have priced it probably at least twice as much).

I should point out is in the US we are getting the statue for essentially $28 ($48 for statue, art book, steelbook, and more... so I gave a rough $10 value to each other item) if you deduct the $48 for the game. So it is a different ball game for us this time around for sure... sucks that a good portion of the rest of the world gets screwed with bad or no price conversion rates.

$150 for you. Is that in dollars? Also what would the game alone cost you and what would the special edition cost you?
