About either question
I just photoshopped them together and put a sword in Elise hand as I thought it looked better then a gun

I actually thought it was legit

. that's why I think somethings not right about Arno's position. If this is the diorama, I guess Arno's sword should be pointing directly at Ellie's face not way above the head, so probably, not like this diorama.
try connecting the base behind arno. now they will look like they are side by side.
