Re: The things I find.
Reviewers get press kits (magazines, sites, blogs, etc). Game companies sometimes send free videogame copies to store managers, or some kind of promo item.

Re: The things I find.
There are luanch kit which are similar to press kits tho. These only get given to stores and have stuff like shirts, lanyards, info on the game, posters etc.

Re: The things I find.
I am privileged today to add this stellar Liara T'Soni lithograph to my collection. I've had this piece on my most wanted list for a long time now, and it's one that I consider to be one of my personal holy grail pieces.
Of all the Mass Effect lithographs, this is widely considered to be one of the rarest and most sought after. I really don't know how many of these they made, but considering how seldom they pop up, I can't image that too many of these are out there. I'd guess that only a few hundred of these were printed, possibly less. The quality of the piece is outstanding; far better than I thought it would be. All of the little details are perfectly sharp and on point, the paper that the image is printed on is also of superior quality. They pretty much spared no expense to make these prints. It's also hand signed by the artist of the piece and by the author of ME:Redemption. I know that this litho was only distributed to shops with Diamond accounts. I also know that these Liara lithos are actually incentive products; which basically means that in order to get just a single one of these lithos, a comic shop would first have to order a set amount of ME books (usually a lot of books.) I don't know exactly what book/s and how many had to be ordered in order to get one of these lithos, but I'd guess that a retailer would first need to order 200 or 300 books. I've only ever seen 3 of these come up for sale on the secondary market, and I don't expect that they'll ever be any easier to come by; so, again, I do feel really lucky to have one now. |

Re: The things I find.
Got this awesome Isaac Clarke EX yesterday:
It lights up: and it comes with Isaac's plasma cutter: This one I've had for a very long time now; pretty much when the game came out. I don't think it's complete though. I know it comes with a shirt, but that's the only thing that I know for sure was included. I have the shirt around here somewhere, but it would probably take me a lifetime to find it. Anything else that was originally in there, I don't have. Brutal Legend Vinyl-style sleeve. You can store your copy of the game inside it! Katamari Prince cellphone charm: I got this one yesterday. It's a leather, ACIII wristband: This is what it looks like unsealed: Last edited by MortalMonday; 10-18-2012 at 12:06 AM. |
