does that mean ups will hold the package until that date?
as that wold not be pleasant considering its only an hour away from me, I could go and pick it up if they really want to keep it that long

Yeah, it means that they'll hold it till then as they don't want to break the street date. So you won't be allowed to pick it up anyway xx

Also, "released by clearing agency" - you got customs. So will the rest of us, no doubt xx

its was obvious we where going to be charged customs duty I already had the money set aside
how does customs work with ups ?
do they take payment at the door?
do they say you need to pay before we deliver so I gotta go to ups building and pay and collect?

Yeah, if I remember correctly, you pay at the door. If you have no means of paying, they take the item away and you can go pay and collect another day xx
