Well I think the statue would have been better with maybe a mini haycart below it (like a scaled down one to show it is very far down and the perspective is looking downward). This would also solve the base looking so weird and out of b=place way at the back end of the statue.

The way it is everything just looks weird and out of place in a really indescribable way.

The rocky base must be really, really heavy to balance out the statue from the other side. Either way, I'll probably stick some duct tape at the back when I place it on my shelf. It'll be pretty high up and I don't want to take chances. With its size and weight, a single fall could probably bust the statue open.

Yea I was pretty concerned about the pose as well so I have been talking to a friend in Pure Arts and here's what they had to say..

Quote:
"You are right when you mention that this pose is unique that is why we really like this concept! The feet are connected to the wall using rigid metal pins and the feet have been solidified to stay at the same angle forever. The angle itself between the wall/feet has been designed to make us feel like it is falling down for real!

We have took all the necessary precautions to avoid any king of leaning (including putting additional weight at the base) but, because it has never been done before, we cannot be sure that it will not start to lean after several months. We can expect a slight 1-2mm after 1-2 years of exposure which is inevitable but should not alter the beauty of the design itself."
Nice pics posted by Barran though! I love that they are getting more creative and daring with their poses and hopefully we don't have accidents like you guys have mentioned!

I got an email yesterday from Ubiworksop that my order couldn't be filled due to them selling more than were produced. Pretty bumbed, I preordered this months ago. Glad to see someone got it.

The Leap of Faith statue is definitely a lot sturdier than it looks in pictures. Got mine yesterday and I'm confident that it won't fall even if the shelf it's on is moved or shaken. The back of the statue (behind the wall where Ezio's feet are attached) is very heavy and provides a great counter-weight.

The only real complaint that I have is that the black base of the statue is fairly big and immersion breaking. Would've been nice if they could've painted it to match the color of the wall or something. I guess I've just been spoiled by the recent AC dioramas where the base is part of the environment. The Frye Twins, Kenway/Blackbeard and Arno/Elise dioramas all had a great base which matched the tone of the statue. You definitely don't get that here.

But overall, definitely a solid statue for the price. It's big too. The Ezio figure is nearly as big as the Buccaneer Edition Kenway figure.
