Max Payne 3 Special Edition available for pre-order

i tend to ignore all unboxing videos and so called reviews - at the end of the day all that matters is my opinion of the item, if i think it is good or not - nothing good can come from reviews and unboxing all that happens is you start believing these people's views and opinions as fact and assure yourself it is going to be crap or that you don't want it anymore - all before you even have it in your hands!

In my defence I tend to pick up on trends in reviews and from those get a good idea if I'll like or hate a game. For example, I didn't think I'd like Red Dead Redemption (don't like GTA or Westerns) but I love the game - thanks largely to the reviews and picking up on bit's here and there.

Likewise watching the unboxings (with sound off) I get a good feel for it I'll like something...I love the look of the bullet, but the figure looks a bit cheap and too plastic TBH. I could split and sell what I don't want but I doubt I'd get ~£30 for the figure

Anyway it's been sent now so looks like I have no option lol

On a side note, my local gamestop is selling darkness II limited edition, brand new for $20 on sale, not too bad hey?

I'd probably pass, but i suppose if the game itself is about 40 - 50 quid, is a different story... Everything in the UK is so much more expensive though

Damn, next time i won't order games like those from the UK anymore, the reason i've bought it from Zavvi is because of all the goodies i was getting, the DLC + Bullet Pen with my Special Edition, it has been sent one day before the release and it isn't still here!, sometimes UK deliveries can take a damn long time!.

zavvi just send me an e-mail telling that they are blocking some countries due to no deliveries

Yeah, but the UK is quite closer here compared to Australia, though, i order at Zavvi.co.uk quite a lot and mostly i have it within 3-4 days but this time it's just taking a lot more time. This doesn't of course mean i will stop ordering at Zavvi.co.uk but i've been excited about Max Payne 3 for a while because i totally loved Max Payne 1 and 2 in the past, and now i can't still play it while it has been out for quite a while, i'd prefer to have those games on the release, because this is killing me!, hah!.

Saw a copy of PS3 version for £60 in my local GAME yesterday, although it's still listed for £100 on the website.

The local independent shop told me that they have sold . . .wait for it . . .zero copies and they have it for £80.

My head tells me to hang on for a decent price drop on this. If it hits £50 we're in

I was in GameStation yesterday and they were selling the Special Edition of Max Payne 3 for £99.99, he even said it didn't come with the game. LOL!

At first he said there's only one copy which is in the window, with the statue sitting on top of the box. Then afterwards he went to the back and brought out a new box with the £99.99 sticker on it. Confused.
