Knight - if I recall the site said specifically you CANNOT redeem the preorder bonus from more than one retailer. Is that not true? Specifically: "Credits will only be earned for one retailer pre-order."

flatout - how did you get your hands on one already if it was just announced?

I wonder what the limit on friends signing up with your link is. I had three friends sign up today. The first worked fine and I got an email. The other two told me they signed up yet nothing on my end.

I've had about 11 sign up in total and only 2 emails and 2 sets of corresponding coins. I think I solved the mystery though and opened a case with Ubisoft regarding it -- they're looking into it now, but it seems if someone clicks on your link and then clicks "login" at the top BEFORE clicking on the "register now" at the bottom of the page that you DO NOT get credit for it even if they get the bonus 3,000 coins. I'm missing at least 9 registrations for it now and that would be enough to put me over the 200k -- now I need to go and somehow prove to Ubisoft that all these people registered though

Such a headache. Wish you the best though Romeo and I hope my suggestion above helps you get more coins too!

Ehhh, alright but not as cool as they could've made it and certainly not worth going to all the hoops of having friends sign up to build up enough points. I guess it's rare but what good is something rare unless it is also really cool. I think they should've made a sturdy resin or metal realistic rendition of the cane sword (as opposed to that cheap plastic Halloween prop currently sold at Gamestop) and had that be the 200k prize. That would have been really cool.

EDIT: Just went and checked the rewards thing to see what it said, and it says 50 are left for the Big Ben Clock.

Also anyone see that Top Hat that is a replican of Jacobs? Only 2 left and costs even more then the clock at 300,000 points.

Lol... I suppose. The contest points are technically worthless so any prize for them is pretty awesome. But I should point out this was not a prize one, this one was given as a gift to a partner of Ubisoft. In any case value and how desirable it might be is based on an individual basis... so really only diehard fans and collectors would even try for it on the contest side of things. From what I gather though you would have to have saved all your points and on top of that gotten very lucky a couple times at the spin to win game just to get enough points... as you said it would not be worth getting tons of people to sign up as that would take forever and be about impossible.

But yeah it is subjective on whether you like it or not (I personally think it is really cool, I am sucker for statue type promotional items).

Yeah, a real canesword would be cool (a resin replica would be terrible though as resin in a thin structure like that would be very easy to break and also would warp over time).

Seriously. I don't swear, but if I did this would be one of those moments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've spent the past week banging on the door of Ubisoft's CSR to get them to give me the points that I earned through their referrals. I had confirmed at least 20 people which would've been 60,000 points. I only needed 15,000 or so to get to the 200,000. Up until today the clock has been available and Ubisoft has been juggling me around.

Well guess what?! Someone over there FINALLY responded to my last request this afternoon and rewarded me 21,000 points which pushed me over the limit. I go to the reward site as soon as i possibly could, click on the clock to redeem my hard earned points (never got more than 3k on the spin) and I'm greeted with...

Spoiler!

Yup. Normally I don't over react, but I am livid. This is the most ridiculous thing and there's absolutely no need for this to have happened! All it should have taken was 2hrs tops for someone to review my case, see that my referrals were real, award me the points and *bam* case closed.

Of course, the hat sold out to, so there's nothing to even spend my points on now!
