Had not seen that, I think I had seen the Hot Toys one in the past and I figured you mean that. The one you linked seems to be the old school bat signal.

Yeah looks pretty sweet. It's already sold out here, just wondering if anyone knew anything else about it.

Someone's first beater car is not a McLaren or limited edition Chevy.

At least read a thread properly and realise the context of someone's post before making such silly, unrelated and off-topic posts.
You waste my time for having to reply, and everyone else's time for taking the thread OT.

That 70 chevelle WAS someones first car. It WAS someone's first BEATER car. As you said. It's all about context correct? As far as limited edition? Are you insane? It had a production run of around 660,000. If that's "limited" then I'd hate to see what you consider a normal production run.

And you fail to realize that someone beater can can become rare and worth something. Just because a $100 statue is in YOUR eyes not worth it, it doesn't mean that it CAN'T be worth more down the line.

My post was in relation to people stating that a 1/3, 34 inch limited edition Prime 1 statue at $899 is over-priced. This is extremely far from the truth, given that the Prime 1 Transformers line of statues (while smaller and more detailed) were over $2000 (or just under). In comparison, the Batman is very good value for money (as opposed to too expensive).

Mind providing us all a link for where the car person bought the specific Chevy you linked above for under $1000 as their first BEATER car?
Point is, if someone bought a BEATER car, they would not be taking care of it and it would be in sub-standard condition and poorly maintained. The car you linked, is not a BEATER car, its a showroom car, hence why its in a showroom.

My comment was directed towards people comparing a car with little value (and depreciating value) against a limited edition 1/3 scale Prime 1 statue. Your comment is discussing car value claims which has nothing to do with this thread.

@dwade23 hey bud. I reckon just drop it. The batman statue looks awesome but costs alot.

Regardless of if it goes up or down in value, if you enjoy looking at it, thats all that really matters right?

Telling people that their opinion is right or wrong wont change their opinion, and might even just upset them. Its not like their opinion will change wether you get the statue or not right?

When you do get it, chuck up some pics as it looks insane.

Not everyone's willing to pay $900 for a statue. I'm a HUGE Uncharted fan, I'll think about it a lot if there's a Nathan Drake statue for $900.

People value stuff differently, I'll never pay $900 for a batman statue or $72000000 for an old Chevy.

You said "Instead of getting nice $100 statues, why not get one massive one that is many times more epic and scarce". Who would get nine of the same $100 statues? Why people buy $100 statue when there's a $900 and better one? Not everyone can afford a $900 statue. The way you said it sounds like "you're stupid to get the $100 one when there's a $900 and better one". It offends people, not only people who bought the $100 one.

I'm providing a logical alternative view for those writing off a $900 statue as "too expensive". You seem to taking that personally which is your personal choice. You can disagree with my view and provide logical reasons why you disagree and hence the discussion can continue. Getting upset and taking things personally about a discussion is not a productive addition to this thread.

You also completely missed the point of this line: "Instead of getting nine $100 statues, why not get one massive one that is many times more epic and scarce". Where did I say you had to get the SAME nine statues? My point was, if people can afford nine $100 statues, they can certainly afford ONE $900 statue. If you feel offended because you bought the $100 one, then maybe you shouldn't have bought the $100 statue? Getting offended means you believe someone is attacking you, if you believe I am attacking you, then you have missed the entire point of my posts.

I have a lot of statues but I don't have a $900 one. I'd rather purchase nine different $100 statues rather than purchasing a single $900 one. I think most people will do the same.

I'm not offended, if I'm offended by you, you win, right? I can afford a $900 statue. Hell I can afford a $2000 statue, but how many people would spend $900 on a statue?

Think and say whatever you want, just think about why people are arguing against you at the same time.
