I think it would be the same number of prints. But we never know.

You're not kidding! https://www.ebay.com/itm/LIMITED-RUN...4/332933460867

....maybe I should have ordered 2.

Don't bother with the ebay prices. Hop on the waiting list here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...HEyIw/viewform

They always have leftovers. As I posted previously, you can use your reward tickets to secure yourself a leftover copy. Not sure if this works for CE's though.

I managed to get this one. They sold out in like 15-20 seconds. It was crazy. Its gonna stress me out trying to get the other three. The reason this one was insane was due to them letting people know when it would release. Does Limited Run always do this with every title?

Also, they should have made this like many other titles. "Preorder by x date and you will receive one". I hate this kind of crap.

In fact this was, to my knowledge, the first time where they kept the release a secret until the day of. Normally we know what the release is and when it will go live a week in advance (always Fridays 10AM and 6PM EST).

Lots of people are complaining because they didn't get one. I get it but...its called LIMITED RUN games for a reason folks! While most CE's these days are mass produced and drop in value, its nice to see a company releasing some real collector's items. A set of 4 sweet-looking CE's, super rare, and if we collect them all we get a bonus item? As a collector, I love this kinda stuff.

So yeah I'm going against the grain here and praising LRG for how they handled this release.

Maybe 1 per customer next time though.

I agree - 1, maybe 2 per customer (I always like to open 1 CE and save another in sealed condition if possible). Also agree on keeping it a secret - too many scalpers and people have calendars lined up with CE's they'll buy like this just because they know it'll be limited. If they don't know, they can't buy them and saves the CE for real collectors.

I personally prefer the "Pre-order on x date to get a copy" method. It's still very limited and people can only blame themselves for not keeping up with gaming product news. But I truly hate very limited products like this for a huge franchise. Most people will be ready and still cannot get one. Also, if you plan to do something like this, make it ONE per customer. You do not need two for any reason. Most people will pretend to not open one (which is still ridiculous in my opinion. If a majority cannot get one, you do not need two) but instead they will just scalp it on eBay.

Also, how about not showing the product on the official PlayStation blog? I mean, seriously, that just adding fuel to the fire. It would sell out very fast even without that blog post. Now people who don't even follow Limited Run products are trying to get one.

Of couse, it's the whole "get in on the newest fad to look cool" epedemic that social media has caused. Hell, if Playstation has it on thier blog then it must be something cool that I MUST HAVE. lol. Fuck I'll buy it now and figure out what the hell it was later.

This one was limited to 2.

I had to buy the more expensive one - I had the CE in my basket but when I went to checkout I accidentally clicked the Amazon checkout, when I went back it reset everything and was sold out

Nice, limited to 2 is pretty good. I hate when you get shit like the NES/SNES classic where scalpers could buy 60 if they wanted to.

Of course there's a reason for getting two - open one and enjoy the hell out of it, and keep one sealed for down the road if you need to fix or replace something from the original. I don't mind spending 2x on a CE if its really nice and I plan on keeping it - I use the hell out of my Mafia 3 CE coasters, and when they go to hell I'll open up the 2nd package and get 10 more years of use.
