Hello what is it that makes you think it's genuine? Is it The art work?

The thing that throws me off is it has a warranty sticker covering the top left screw on the back, which I have rarely seen on any DS before. Did your three have the same sticker?

Thanks

Yes, the artwork does make me think it's genuine or at least the top part is.As for the warranty sticker mine doesn't have that, but this could indicate that it has been previously repaired so it's nothing serious.

i'm sorry..but i find it hard to believe that artwork from a first rate company like Nintendo would just "smudge" right off like that..but the original silver paint remains intact..companies like Nintendo i'm sure would use a superior method of inlays and artwork using heat treated methods etc..only counterfiet knockoffs would have the artwork smeared off like that from typical game use...there are a lot of knock off's of this design, that originate from China...you don't have the box?...i would doubt the authenticity..however,...if there are reputable owners..who have theirs in similiar condition..like on zelda forums etc..then maybe this is a possibility..but i don't believe Nintendo would use "cheap tactics"..when it came to art work on their consoles.

Hi, one of the zelda ds lites I owned had faded artwork and came with its original box, so I would assume that with regular use the artwork fades.
Here are some pictures of the console:
