Hi from Sony WWS Fabrication Arts & Design group
Welcome! I love that we're starting to see people like you on the forum who are directly involved in the creation of, what is for us, our favorite form of entertainment and greatest passion. Thanks so much for sharing your collection with us!
Just like everyone else, I am in awe of your collection. To echo Mortal, that Journey statue is beyond words. Also, not sure that I would have a place to put a 9' Kratos but I'd sure as heck try . Might be a good anti-theft device in my house--could look pretty intimidating in the dark! Last edited by toxicatom5; 03-15-2014 at 01:24 PM. |

Welcome! I'm drooling over Sly Cooper! Wish I could be as talented as that.

Oh my god.
This is my new favourite thread. I think my favourite is the sly cane and the Resistance carbine. But as a PS collector, I want all of that badly. |

Re: Hi from Sony WWS Fabrication Arts & Design group
Well, thanks for the warm welcome. Like you guys, I love collecting this stuff. My office at work and at home is jammed with statues, prop replicas, even full sized statues. A few years back, I made a Blade statue because I liked the movie and I wanted to make something different than a lot of collectors have. It was a fun project. Here's a couple pics.
I get to work with an extremely talented bunch of vendors, many i've been friends with for more than a decade and we all hit conventions like Comic-con and Monsterpalooza together. Some of them work in the collectibles industry, others are in special effects. To give you some background on the Journey statue, that was sculpted by Tim Miller who has done work for Sideshow and DC Direct. You might remember the two Lara Croft Premium Format figures he made. You sculpted Blade? You sculpted most of the other stuff too?

Welcome to the forums Gary! Thank you for sharing your amazing collection! I am in awe after seeing so many beautiful pieces of memorabilia! My favorite piece has got to be the Journey statue! (although that Phurba dagger is my personal moby dick) It looks incredible. I hope you like it here and keep us updated with your collection! |
