Just found out JB will be selling the steelbook edition here in Australia.

Happy to pick up an extra copy (or two) if someone here would like one.

ASIA region is getting a special boxed version which includes the steelbook, and something akin to character post cards with their signature moves on it, and a nice looking red exterior box package for just a little more than standard game price.

As nice as the artwork is, it's an easy pass. Fighting games depreciate faster than any other genre, and we have seen countless times in the past fighting CE's drop to bargain bin prices in a relatively short space of time. I suspect this "Day One" Edition will still be in stock next Christmas!

More fool anyone who buys this on release, especially when Capcom have a track record of re-releasing their Street Fighter games a few months later with added content. If you're a die-hard Street Fighter fan, go for it, but you just know that before the year is out we'll have another Street Fighter V game on the market!

i think it's a sure thing, that there will be a re-release of Street Fighter V by the fall..because i see already at gamestop they had DLC on offer for $30..saying it has 6 additional fighters and "detailed" customes..so i think there will be some form of "game of the year" edition etc.

Pretty sure they said there won't be other editions this time and the season pass will unlock all characters but they can be unlocked free from playing the game itself.

From the top of my head reading bits and bobs so not 100%. But pretty sure the Tekken director said this was pretty stupid towards Ono in regards to this system.

Edit: Found sources

Season Pass includes 6 additional characters but can be unlocked playing the game - http://heavy.com/games/2015/12/stree...-order-capcom/

No multiple versions and on disc DLC - http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/...ions/#/slide/1

To be honest I was in that thought process as well thinking back to Street Fighter 4 but with the ever growing userbase for the PS4, meh I am not too sure. The CE doesn't appeal to me though so just want the steel =/
