I think it's because most of the game steelbooks were produced in European countries and it's more expensive to realease them oversea.

It appears to be very similar to the UK GameGears exclusive package, although that doesn't come as nicely presented, and comes with a T shirt instead of a limited print

From what we discussed before, the GameGears exclusive did/does NOT come packaged together in a special box (like the Australian EBGames Special Edition). Someone here even posted that a GameGears agent got back to them and specified the items come "separate" shrinkwrapped...

Yes, that was me. And that's what I was getting at, although maybe I didn't word it quite right

What I meant to say is, the GameGears one is almost identical and does not come as nicely packaged, and has a T shirt instead of a limited print. Is that clearer?

Sorry Gemini I didn't intend to be rude or get you upset. Just saw something incorrect. I've been infatuated w/ this game lately and that was why I picked out the mistake. Yes that is more clear. Thanks a bunch!
