Zavvi are inconsistent with their packaging, and unfortunately there are a far higher number of collectors who have had bad experiences with zavvi than good ones.

That's not to say they are the worst, that is play.com and Axel music but if we were to rank the store by the average condition they turn up in, from all the members here. Zavvi would rank low.

This small item is likely to be placed in a box by zavvi so you may get better results but past experiences tell us not to be hopeful.

I said it on another thread that I too have never had a problem with zavvi, everything has been quick to arrive and in pristine condition.

I think people are quick to complain but you rarely hear from people that are happy with the service. This is probably why it seems like theres an excessive amount of zavvi hate.

For the record,i've never had a problem with play or amazon either and thats hundreds of orders.

The only problems i've ever had is from idiotic postmen jamming stuff through the letterbox when it clearly doesn't fit.

I can tell that Zavvi is the worst retailer I have found so far, at least when it comes to international sales. I've bought many things from them in the last couple of years but now what they did with Metal Gear Solid and the few last packages I got was mopre than enough to make me never buy from them again.

I've had problems with most of the stuff I ordered from them and some things take AGES to arrive. Amazon and a few other sites take a couple of days. Amazon does a brill job protecting their stuff and it's by far the best place for me to buy but Zavvi is terrible when it comes to pack items for international delivers - it ranks the lowest place on my list.

The only good thing about Zavvi (and, in fact, what still made me buy from them every now and then) was the price. Sometimes their prices are nearly unmatchable I think.

Its all down to your experience as a customer really.

Zavvi let me down big time with MGS so I'll find it hard to use their services ever again.

Shopto.net let me down on the first order I ever made with them nearly two years ago, it was for an edition I can't even remember now, but I remember it being sold out everywhere, and the copy I ordered apparently got 'lost'. But I've never ordered with them since because of that.

It's like ordering the chef's meal of the day which comes highly recommended by friends or so forth, only for a bowl of snot to arrive on your table, with some hairs in it... It would take something special to make you want to eat there again.

Hey the internet is vast and varied, there are bound to be some bad and good online retailers in everyone's eyes. The point is you get to chose no-one is forcing you to do anything, besides if I ever get a bad delivery from a shop (which I have had numerous incidents of) I am always so much of a pain in the ass to their customer support that they never want to hear from me again.

I ordered 2 MGS sets from Zavvi, one for PS3 and the other for XBOX360 both of which came perfect condition. though saying that both are still sealed so I have no idea what they look like on the inside.

I also recently got Resident Evil Revelations Bundle pack from them and this too arrived in perfect condition

The only problem I've had with zavvi was when my Mario All Stars Collectors Edition Wii came to me in a damaged state. I just sent it back and got a refund.

I've never had anything bad turn up from Zavvi, but I'm putting it down to extremely good luck considering most other people have at least one time that they have had a problem xx
