We've been hard at work here trying to figure that out, using algorithms and magic 8 balls but with no such luck

We have a few theories though, one of them being, EBGames making a huge dramatic announcement on social media and only available online with the new and improve 1 per customer "restrictions".

Be very aware the shipping cost for these will be astronomical for standard people like us, and will need an extra box within a box with a blanket to make sure the goods are good!

why are there not scalpers getting to that store

I think that the shipping limitations you mention are a big hindrance and the market is probably small where they sell. Plus, when you preorder from somewhere like Amazon, you know you will either get the game or if you don't, you are not charged and their return policies are pretty cut and dry.

With larger sellers, as long as you get your order in reasonably quick, you also generally get what you order, not a "we are sorry" email the day before when they find out they only got 5 instead of 50. Overselling stock happens at all levels, but I have had more issues with small sellers not getting what they hoped for and having to cancel.

They may be completely legit, but it wouldn't be a purchase that inspired confidence in me.
