I agree with James though, if ND really wanted to sell a lot of those they wouldnt have made it so limited in the first place (and made it only available to gamestop). I also think they wont make much of a profit, if the statue indeed will cost them quite a bit. See it more as fan service. Also the survival edition is only 20 dollar more than normal game, so i doubt there is any good profit margin there as well. Since the artbook is really nice and notsome china made 1 dollar toy.

ps: i think though they should have announced numbers, and made the edition actually numbered if its below 8000 anyways.

This is a easy solution. Don't take mine or naughtydogjames word. If you guys truly believe that this will be in the bargain bin then don't preorder or purchase it on release. Don't worry I am getting 4 so I will give you guys a very good deal on it when they are limited and you guys can't get your hands on it. How does $400 sound, I think it's a bargain compared to $160.

Dead Space 3 did not sell out in a week. I ordered 2 with 3 weeks between the dates of order placed. They were up for almost a month, and I remember being worried about how slowly they were selling out. Similarly, I'll just wait on this and see what happens.

We are talking the Dev Team Edition, right?

It was officially sold out within 8 days or sth, while some weeks later 25 more were available due to cancellations etc. At the Dead Space 3 thread the "officialy sold out" post it's still there dated 19/01.
