Got my Vault Boy Tee of the month through today (bought two as I wanted to wear one and keep the cool packaging), but got charged an extra ?18 =( Not sure if it's for customs fees or something, looks like it was sent to Germany and then to UK, is this normal?

That sucks, sorry. We've had a bunch of complaints with the new way MSI is handling UK shipments (and elsewhere). I'm told we've changed shipping methods to a duty pre-paid option about two weeks ago, so you shouldn't have this issue on next month's tees.... You'll have to pay a little more up front now (fees should be the same, but we have to collect a percentage of the total as VAT), but at least there shouldn't be any more surprises on delivery. Or maybe I should just say fewer surprises? International shipping is really hard, but we're working on it.

Do you like the shirt at least?

But why did you guys have to make the packaging so cool?! Almost made me want to open neither of them! Haha.

Just a question then, I bought the pre-sale Vault-Tech watch and it's all paid for, and I think it was before 2 weeks ago (might've been around that time). Will I receive a similar charge for that?

Well at least there's some positive to the story, then. Glad you liked it!

The watch will probably ship the old way.... Add another one to your cart and compare the new shipping quote to what's in your receipt. If the shipping on your receipt is lower than what it is today, it might be worth your while to cancel the first order and try again. I know that's a hassle, and I'm sorry for that, but you guys have some horrible stories about fees so I've learned to just expect the worst....

to be clear...when the duty is prepaid, is it exactly the VAT? Or are there any additional cost? (since you guys will have to process that i guess?)

Anyways, i really like this, because the worst thing with import fees is the share that the postal companies take.

ALSO I JUST CHECK, ITS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE NETHERLANDS YET, CAN YOU TELL ME IF ITS COMING SOON? (because i would order a lot more stuff in that case!!!)
