Yup, I'm just gonna call it now. Zavvi stuffed up and need to fix up those pages and make available for pre-order.
The true 'Ultimate' HD Collection is supposed to be totally exclusive to the PS3 format, this will surely indicate that what they're describing is in fact the 'Limited Edition' already available for pre-order in Australia.

As you may have seen the release date for this title has been moved to 3rd February. The publisher ‘Konami' has also advised of a change to the contents of the Collection.

In addition to the new collections edition you have already pre-ordered, you will also receive a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4: Sons of the Patriots (Platinum). This offer is only available to customers who pre-ordered the originally advertised version.

I got the same email, I believe the first 4000 units pre-order are now no longer "special"

It looks like the only incentive for preordering the first 4000 units is that you'll also receive the Platinum version of MGS4.

So Konami are no longer making a real 'Ultimate Edition' as this Zavvi "PS3 exclusive" will no longer include the MGS1 download voucher nor will it be individually numbered at all! And was only for the first 4000 preorder, but watch the many who will cancel their preorders due to the now not so special edition.

Konami has scrapped the U.E. and screwed many people. lolcry ebay sellers and buyers...lots of refunds gonna happen soon!

Expect Zavvi to also create new preorders entitled 'Limited Edition'...along with other UK site xx

Yes, technically it is. But it was never going to be exclusive to Australia, it's just that Australia received it first like many other CE/LE from the past. The first 4000 units for the PS3 version is still Zavvi's "Ultimate Edition" as it'll include a copy of MGS4 [Platinum Edition], and the Xbox360 version plus the rest of the PS3 version will just be the normal PAL Limited Edition.

I'm sure there'll be some uproar about this, and many angry bird eBay sellers!

I think he's misinformed or does not know the correct details. It was originally only 4000 units for the PS3 version, now they also have this Ultimate Edition for the Xbox360?? Not possible if it's to include a copy of MGS4!?!

They need to fix this up on their site because it's confusing and I don't think they'll have the Limited Edition all for themselves, it'll be spread out all over Europe...or else I'll be damned!

It sucks if it wouldnt be 4000 limited. But i absolutely love its including the artbook since i missed out on the usa limited edition.
