This. It kind of looks OK in those pics, but it's a prototype, and the final product never looks as good as the prototype. Doesn't look like it's worth $127.93.

After the bucket of shit Max Payne statue from these guys (which also looked good in proto pics), I'm really skeptical that this will turn out good. I do hope it does though.

Also don't blame you guys for being upset. Whilst I didn't order the Post-Pandemic Edition, this really does suck for those who did, and it's a bit of a dick move to release this as a stand-alone.

why? they are still getting their statue and it doesnt detract from their enjoyment of the item if someone in austraila can buy it standalone unless their only enjoyment is some smug satisfaction from having something rare.

my gripe with the CEs are when the CEO comes out and says how rare its going to be so you buy it full price to find it (DNFBoS) is more common than the regular edition and goes down to $10

Because that statue is what made the Post Pandemic Edition unique and special. People who collect this stuff do take a bit of pride in knowing they own something rare and valuable. Obviously everyone else agrees as they all seem to be pissed off by this news lol.

They probably had more stock since they increased the amount of post pandemic edition during the launch period but NaughtyDog decided to stay true to us and limit the amount of post pandemic and Triforce, being money minded already created more and just sell it as standalone.

I will still get my post pandemic edition though. Still quite good value compare to AU RRP. Joel/Ellie edition = ~100 + statue~130 = 230. Post-Pandemic only cost 170 shipping with more stuff lol.

I'm also a bit miffed that the statue is being sold seperately because like most collectors, owning something rare makes it feel extra special. It kinda looses it's appeal and value if it's something (or part of) that can be purchased anywhere.

On the other hand the Post-pandemic edition wasn't available here so I guess it's some sort of lame compensation excuse.

I'll still be keeping my PP edition because I want it.

In my perspective since you dont only get the statue but the overall package art/contains ...so that makes the PP edition much more collectible. I doubt the statue will get the full PP package (after all its a ps3 game) so i dont think it d evaluate the pp edition at all.

As long as it is a nice looking statue i dont care that they sell it separately.

In fact this separate sale may indicate that the statue is actually worth it and isnt a lame reproduction.
