Saints Row IV Game Of The Generation Edition Announced, Only 5000 Produced

I work at a Gamestop myself. While no company is perfect, sometimes I just don't understand the hatred for GameStop. Yes there are some stuff about GameStop that I dislike too. But not most of it is bad.

I preordered my copy of the Game of the Generation edition the moment it went live in store. I had my coworker rang me up. And I haven't receive a cancellation email yet. But I'll keep you guys updated.

Really/ is it that bad over there for Gametop? i'll admit gamestop are not my preferred cup of tea atm, but i will getoverit, and that will pass. EB Games here in NZ are well enough liked. Sure they go thru a hell of a lot of GOOD staff and they are mostly good, friendly, helpful folk, but they don't seem to treat them the best from what I see and hear because they leave;you get to know them and then they gone, otherwise these folk would not be getting snapped up by other retail outlets that need such folk.

I'm majorly pissed-off that they did this to us(I'm not blaming at you, nor ranting don't worry I will getoverit). It took them over a week to list the product even after EB Canada had it, and now this. Mebe you still have yours(I think you still should, you do work there and I would expect mine to be still there if I worked there to, that's even if they know you work there, I'm not moaning about you being stayed on the list cos you work there, I think its'a a perk of the job to be kept on lists like this for such as you whom work there)

So I rilly still want this SR4 GotGedition but I'm transfering my love and want points to Arkham origins new CE(with Joker sitting with 20 TVs behind him statue. Its $200 and ITS AWEEEESOME But I CANT FIND WHERE TO PREORDER IT... I wanna know if its NA exclusive. looks like it is, they get all the good stuff, we in AU/NZ get the dregs that fall down the world.

I hope those who preordered first get reinstated cos tbh thats the one who really ought to still be listed.

I think people hate Gamestop because mostly when you trade in a brand new game that you just finished playing. Let say GTA5, you might get $15 or $20 in store credit if you're a member at GameStop. Then they turn it around and sale that copy for $55.

Most people are like WTF?!

But what most people don't understand is that GameStop is a retailer and is also technically a pawn shop. (That what my boss told me, and he is not a bad manager either. He's definitely the best boss I ever had.)

Since GameStop is a pawn shop of course like with any other pawnshop they'll actually give you less money and charge more for a profit. That's just the way things work.

That why I keep most of my games, I only trade in the ones I hated and only when they're promotion like 50% extra in store credit.

Normally GameStop doesn't oversold but it happen. I shop at amazon and it happened to be once before. Same with Best Buy.



Yeah, I saw the Arkham Origins collector edition for the US.

I think I might cancel my Game of the Generation edition and get a normal copy instead.. I do love saint row, I platinum the 3rd one.

But I gotta pay for splinter cell black list CE and now the Batman CE too. And I'm sorry my Saints, I just love them more.


I know it's limited to only 5000, but I have no use for a dub step gun and a statue of Johnny Gat.

Do you think I should cancel it?

Game are just as bad. I sold my DoA5CE for ?20 to them (with the DLC all used) - they then try to sell it for ?60.

It wouldnt be so bad if they offered a fair trade in value - though at least they now price match other stores trade value.

Well the thing about Game and GameStop (both own by the same company) is that they don't take collector or limited edition into consideration when they buy your game.

To them, all pre-owned games are standard edition. Unless you trade in a "Game of the Year edition" or a special edition like Skyrim legendary edition.

A standard edition with a piece of paper with the DLC code or a game with a steelbook will just count as a standard game.


I have plenty of customers trade in steelbook games before. I just bought a Tomb Raider steelbook game from my store cause some dude traded it in.

So sometimes working at GameStop has it perks when you find special stuff.
