Took me 2 hours to get gamestop to take 20 off of the LE and ship me that. Gamestop is perfectly ok with giving you nothing when they cant hold up their end of the deal.

Again, anything extra from a retailer is amazing. So in turn it should not necessarily be expected as it was not their fault... they are the middle man.

What i am saying is you should have gotten that $20 from WB Games more so then the retailer who had no control over this edition being canceled.

But that is just my opinion (but I do think it is a very logical opinion... but that is an opinion as well ).

It is true though that GameStop is not half the company that Amazon is (or even BestBuy... which seems to have given one of the best compensations, though I think on average Amazon is way better).

I feel the same way as you do except when a retailer takes a preorder, they do have some responsibility to the customer. Which is why the other retailers you mentioned feel they need to give some compensation to their customers. Its the right thing to do.

And if everyone had to take a guess at which retailer wouldnt do anything, everyone would be voting gamestop.

I think you are making the classic mistake of thinking a pre-order is a promise. I suppose if they take all your money up front then it is... but most do not take any money until the item ships for this very reason as it is an unproven immaterial item at that time. Also the are allotting pre-orders based on manufacturer promises.

I see very little fault, if any, on the side of retailers in this instance. The only point I am really making is they did not "have" to give you anything and the only reason some did is they care about their customers business... not because they were at fault somehow.

I guess maybe look at it this way. You asked me to get something for you at the store because that store had told me the item you want was going to be in stock the next day. I go to get it for you but they say they are never getting it. Do I, the middle man you ask to get you an item, owe you something? Is that my fault? I know that is sort of a different situation but the overall theme is the same, the main difference being I am individual offering to grab you an item to help and they are a corporation offering to grab you the item for a profit.

I see you are one of those clowns on the internet that needs to make an argument where there doesn't need to be one. I've already been aggravated enough by warner bros and gamestop, i dont need to be reading bs about nothing when people who preordered from other retailers at least got something.

The bottom line is I won't be preordered with gamestop anymore, because if this situation happens again, not only will I be screwed out of a CE but Ill be screwed out of a $50 gc.

Im done responding to you, so take your cue and play the hero of the forums now.

I thought you were not going to reply to me?

And no I was not trolling... you truly are a cry baby.

I agreed GameStop sucks compared to the other companies and was just saying the difference was the other companies went above and beyond. You just did not like that and cried about it. Yes it is the internet... if you do not like people giving opinions do not bother posting in forums as no one likes a cry baby.

you are still trolling.

definition: make a deliberately offensive or provocative online posting with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them.

I am sorry but anyone who goes back to read the post will see you called me a "clown" and all I did was point out your were whining with a baby picture after that instead of getting into some silly name calling like children. I suppose the clown part on your end was not trolling...

This went from a post, to a discussion, to someone who got upset because I did not totally agree with them and started name calling, to them now saying they are a victim of trolling.

Very interesting story... it must be tough being the victim.

Good luck in your future endeavors, I will not reply as you have proven yourself someone I would not want to talk with.
