I don't think it is. I have a FS one and it looks slightly different. Mine was from the midnight launch though so not sure if they are different?

Mine is similar on the front, but he is more grayscale, and smaller, with a border running vertically down either side of him. The GOW3 writing is also higher up, with Microsoft Studios and EPIC GAMES logos in the bottom right corner. On the back, it has that image, however only at the top half of the steelbook, the bottom half has the usual Gears of War 3 logo then all the copyright stuff in small writing, and it has a sticker barcode in the bottom right corner there.

It also came sealed (and still is) so not sure if it has any inner artwork xx

You're right vhal this one is not the Futureshop version this I believe it's from Spain it's just like the jumbo version. And on the jumbo it only says gears of war while the other says gears of war 3. I found these pics in a different forum

To be honest when I saw the picture originally, it brought back memories of a topic on another steelbook forum

I believe the steel in question is actually a "custom"

Basically someone removed the front and back plates off of the G1 Jumbo and put them on either a british or FS Gears of war 3 steel

I have an Italian jumbo on the way to me and may do the same thing as I don't really want a jumbo in my collection

I would say to look at the spine to see where the skeleton of this custom originated

Is that really true?

There's no they could have used the UK's version because of the xbox 360 logo and the spine is glossy compare to futureshop's but I'm just basing it on the pictures

Hmmm just looked on ebay.es and there was one being sold

Completed listings also have some being sold by other sellers so while I do believe I read about someone making a custom from the GoW 3 jumbo, you are right. It does appear to be a unique steelbook and not a custom

Spine does tell all
