Sizes are always a result of artist opinion, our opinion and what a digital file could be printed at before you get quality degradation...
For Okami, for which the concept art is a mix between water color and digital art our main guideline was: "how large did the artist intend the final work to be" and whether or not a larger size adds to extra impact of the work. In our humble opinion Path of Heaven and Seeking the Celestial Brush Gods were the only ones benefitting a bigger size and Agata Forest, Kamiki Village & Fighting Orochi are now a nice set of equal size. But take into account that a print which is 35 x 50 + white margin plus matte can easily become a 50 x 65 framed. Which is relatively large for most houses. |

![]() Just noticed these were up. Is it ever possible for the general public to purchase #1 through the site, or is that always by reservation only before the prints are listed for sale? |

No, it is possible to purchase #1's through the site. It is first come first serve mostly.
We alwasy announce through our newsletter first so I'd advice to sign up for that if you want to be there first. |

Experimenting a bit with a new model from the art world whereby the #1 is always the most affordable print and an edition gets progressively more expensive the more copies are sold. This rewards early buyers and early adopters a little bit over those with a wait-and-see approach.
As you may have noticed the Okami prints were quite 'aggressively' priced upon release compared to C&B's other prints. We decided that with the Okami editions once we'd hit 50% sell-through of a print we'd normalize to a more regular sale price by adding +/- 10% |

Got it. Never been a big fan of the Euro pricing model... but good for those that get in early I suppose.
