Anticipated Sonic Generations Collector’s Edition (PAL exclusive)

I will just mention, this was a pretty badly announced release. We're now approaching release, yet we're still asking questions about exclusivity and availability! It was also very poorly advertised, by both SEGA and Amazon, and details are still quite sketchy

When you compare this to something else like the Uncharted 3 Explorer Edition or Skyrim's CE, this CE was given very little exposure. Even now we're wondering whether or not it was exclusive to Amazon, or even whether it was actually supposed to be available for the UK at all - With Amazon you never really know, as they tend to often import CE's from other parts of Europe and pass them off as UK exclusives...


SEGA should have also played a bigger part in promoting this CE. They should have made it clear on their blog where exactly it was supposed to be released, and also which retailers were stocking it. I presume they would have this information in advance? So why not make that clear from the start? Other companies manage to do this quite easily - When was the last time you saw a badly marketed Call Of Duty CE?

Definitely a missed opportunity by SEGA. Withe the massive sonic fan base, i dont understand why it was so hard to make an announcement. It doesnt make any sense

I undertand why retailers may not want to announce how limited an edition is but i wish it would be as simple as Zavvi made it with the MGS steelbook
