Yeah, was gonna say that its usually all dry - but figured you meant if some condensation or liquid or something got into said perforated package THEN it would leak and destroy the world... I was going under that assumption

Also, has anyone seen a "legitimate" review yet of Destiny? Did Bungie issue some sort of worldwide press embargo on reviews or something because I can't find a meaningful review on the game itself anywhere - usually these things are out weeks before the game comes out. Even IF they just turned on the servers, you'd think there'd be some sort of write-ups somewhere?

I didn't see it mentioned here and I apologize if it was already covered but I had ordered the Ghost Edition on Newegg and they gave me the dreaded cancellation email. Good news though, they said that they would still ship the regular game to me for free or I can contact them and let them turn my game into a $50 voucher at their store. Just wanted to let anyone else know if they haven't checked their email yet. Good luck!

There will not be a real review for some time. has nothing to do with embargo, it has to do with the huge scale of the game and the fact they want to see most of it before giving it a score.

Yeah I thought it was that at first but forgot it was dry as com pointed out. The WORLD!? NNOOOOooooooo....

Ouch - yeah, heard that from a few other people today too. At least you got a free game. Stinks if you weren't able to find a copy elsewhere though of the Ghost Edition.

I appreciate the sentiments. I did eventually today. Actually had to drive 35 miles to go get it on my lunch break. I also called another Gamestop and they have one on hold for a reserve but the guy never picked it up. Now I gotta convince the gf if it's worth having one unopened. Idk if it's worth it.

I was expecting the worst from gamestop shipping/packaging but they did a really really good job on this one. Never seen them double up on bubble wrap and still surround the item with additional air pillows before. I'm still in disbelief, but really happy to have a copy that arrived in perfect shape!

I have only spent about as much time with it as I did in the ALPHA and BETA (actually less) so I cannot say overall. But I would think that review is trying to be controversial as that usually sells and get amazing amounts of page views to give something super popular a much less then expected score. Might not be the case, it might really be a 6 for all I know... but from what I have played I would rate it higher... probably at least a solid 8 so far.

Interesting - that's the first actual review of the game I've seen. I expected to see a ton of them with the same caveat this one had "our opinion may change after new raids and such are released, but here's our opinion NOW".

It's not a 6, not even close. Typical polygon.

The game is fantastic. Yes it could have been way better, yes it's repetitive, but still it's incredibly fun. I'm a pvp guy first and foremost, and bought it mostly for that but have really been drawn into the pve. 8.5/10 from me.
