tough call - to open or not to open, that is the question!

I'm tempted to leave it sealed and pick up a cheap US CE at some point as there seems to be thousands of those around...argh I love the SE case but know it'll get ruined by the kids...

You can open it, just like it was never openend

If you think that is an book, your half right. Because here in Europe, that i the special edition game case. It's a very nice special editiion,with a few pages. The game disc slide out, out one of the pages.

This sucks.. I have asked many retailers in India (web retailers) and none of them have the Uncharted Explorer Edition available

I say Explorer because since all the EU versions of console games are sold in India I would presume the E.E should theoretically have been made available.

Is there any way I can buy this version since online retailers refuse to ship 1kg+ items internationally!

There's a whole explanation to why R3 Survivor Edition and UC3 EE didn't make it here.

Your best bets are fishpond.com.au or amazon.de, I'd go with the latter

Great... amazon.de and fishpond both don't have it in stock.

By explanation do you mean there was a disagreement with the distributors?? Not exactly related but these days milestone have become asses and are preventing all retailers from discounting pre-release games.

What sucks is the fact that out of the trinity of Sony exclusives, it was only Infamous 2's CE which made it to our shores

Also on another note, what exactly is the difference between the CE and EE? (Other than the fact that the DLC vouchers for the EU will most probably work on an Indian PSN account.)

different game case (EE is specia edition - like drakes journal, CE is steelbook) - other than that the outer 'package carry case' is different with EE being like a wooden suit-case and CE being a type of chest.
