got an 8 here

good
Few can do first-person action as well as Bungie
Compulsive gameplay loop
Immaculate presentation

bad
World feels curiously empty without friends in tow
Story and dialogue are surprisingly poor

Am I the only one think the game feels and looks a but like Killzone Shadow Fall (or am I the only one played Killzone SF here ). But this game did better in many aspects than Killzone, and I can't understand how could it get a lower score than Titanfall...

The game is fantastic. Yes it could have been way better, yes it's repetitive, but still it's incredibly fun. I'm a pvp guy first and foremost, and bought it mostly for that but have really been drawn into the pve. 8.5/10 from me.
I agree.

I played KZ SF and Destiny feels nothing like that to me other then it being a shooter. Feels like Halo with powers, floating, and loot. But from what i have played it feels like you give up on the immersive in your face story parts though, but you can't have it all I suppose (plus I am basing this on the first couple hours so the story may get more engaging... but it seems the MMO mission in ad out style seems to detract you).

The only gripe i have with the game is the emptiness that is filled through out. Theres really no purpose to explore anything, unless you really want those gold chests. This is from first hand experience. After about 10 or so hrs of gameplay constantly running off to explore and find things, it always led to dissapointment where one would think treasure WOULD/SHOULD be, led to a dead end with nothing. BUT there are a ton of areas i couldnt pass due to enemie levels being overpowered, so maybe thats where the fun lies. Idk. Either way im still having fun with the game. If i had to score it now, id give it a 7.5-8 on what merits are in place at this time.

I just experienced this while looking around for spinmetal on Earth. I would look out and think "oh this looks like a cool hidden path" only for the game to instantly kill me when I went towards it. It's simple things like this that make you wonder how good the game could have been. Other issues off the top of my head:

-No in-game clan system. Bungie.net clan system is confusing and terrible. I haven't seen 1 clan online yet, that should tell you something Bungie.
-Loot is too random, and thus not very rewarding. Especially in pvp - I'm tired of raging at my garbage teammates, only to see them get rewarded for going 1-20 with a strange coin or rare engram.
-No proximity chat
-Shotgun is op in pvp
-Terrible story, I just ignore it lol.
-Not enough mission variety - need more missions to be interrupted with public events, more missions like "the sword of corta" where you get some sort of cool new weapon to use, etc.

Just wanted to let anyone else know if they haven't checked their email yet. Good luck!
Haha, lesson learned for me...lol

I haaaaad a PS3/360 Ghost edition preordered from them. So this is lesson learned for me to not order from NewEgg, especially with all the hype that Destiny caused. I should've known better.
The worst part about it though, is that they wait til' about September 11th to let people know about the cancelations. It would have been better if they just canceled earlier, giving people a better chance of locking in a preorder somewhere else if possible. Anywho, I got some standard edition for PS3/360...*pfft*
lol

Hmmm... I see, kind of sucks they did that, the should give the LE. version + the $50 sods. So if the game sold half a mill looks like the number for the ghost edition is less the 250.000 - 500.000 range I said before.
