Diasec/acryllic glass has sharp square corners, you could literally kill someone with a framed work . Seen from the side the acryllic glass reflects some of the image which looks outstanding. The liquid gloss has soft "bend" corners. Naturally there are several reasons for choosing one over the other, they all involve fancy words. Yet the way the finish itself looks should also be considered, I think, depending on the piece you're framing. They both "affect" the colors positively but in different ways. In case anyone wonders what this kind of framing job costs, I've been given a price of 170 euros for 18x24 inches. I have no idea if that's the standard rate.

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
I would love to have them framed but the pictures are so big shipping to the states would be a fortune, I'll have to find someone here and hope they survive the long flight. Having been cheated on the mind in revolt signed book I couldn't miss out this time. I got a falling and large song bird. My wife will kill me when she sees it's nearly six feet long. I would like others but those to were the only ones to really catch my eye, plus running out of wall space.

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
It appears "Falling" will be the one to chase. There are only 14 left. If you have any interest at all, now is probably the time to jump onboard. I haven't seen anyone try and scalp anything from C&B yet, but I have a feeling this will be a highly sought after piece.
I wonder what framing would cost on one of the large prints... they're so tempting. I do like the patriot, they've still got some available too. |

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
I dunno, I want to like the "Falling" piece but the white void around the characters gives it a sort of photoshop look to me. Battleship Bay on the other hand really caught my eye.

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
I agree the falling one is the best so far, pity there wasn't a large version.. The elizabeth one is also a nice picture.. then the songbird (different from the others) the others im not 100% sold on yet.. whats everyone elses opinion ?

My reasoning is that's just bought 17 numbered Tomb Raider prints at $40 each, some of which are even more limited at 40 total made. Last edited by Romeo; 04-26-2013 at 06:10 PM. |

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
Apples = Oranges ... sorry it's 2 completely different things.. I bought a $5 painting at a garage sale whilst a picasso goes for $2 million dollars.. both art both painted well but why the difference in price tag.. art have a funny way of being expensive to cheap depending on the want.. if people want to pay they will pay

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
Why would anyone want liquid gloss poured on their print?
