Apparently there was an IGN Tweet (now deleted) which accidentally showed some figures and the map off a little.

If that's what they're like I'm going to have no issue cancelling tbh.

The URL shortening link goes to, "https://uk.ign.com/articles/2019/08/...?sf107796051=1" but this is on a 404 at the time of posting.

If that's the figurines we're getting then this is the last shit I buy from Gearbox. F***ing not even painted, just plain resin? Stupid and lazy, or theyre WAY behind on production and can't get everything painted in time.

Wonder if that's why they aren't posting anything - dont want people to see that garbage and cancel pre-orders.

With that price tag the figures and the ship model sould at least be pre painted.

The thing that irritates me the most about the dumb figures is that Borderlands itself is based on a vivid art/color scheme. It's also based on things being modded to hell, especially on colors. The fact they neglected/were too lazy to paint them just goes against everything Borderlands is about.

Wow - Easiest preorder cancellation I've ever made right there.

The figures look rough, also looked incredibly light when he picked one up.

The ship did not look all that good and I say that as someone that enjoys these Airfix type kits (like mentioned above too, it looked unpainted as well).

The lithographs look crap imo too. When there's so much cool stuff in the Borderlands universe and interesting landscapes, etc., why would I want 5 bland, unoriginal pictures of characters' faces?

And that chest... Ooft. When he was opening it all I could think was that shaky stiffness is the hallmark of poorly moulded cheap crap. This was totally solidified in my mind when he lifted it and the chest started flexing for just a small lift and turn.

I think literally the only part I was interested in was the map which I'll half-heartedly check eBay for later. (I do love maps though.)

Yeah, pretty sure they're 3D printed, which means they're almost guaranteed to be broken upon arrival as 3D printed figures are usually more hollow than solid and therefore very weak.

I hate how ambiguous they were on the type of model it would be. To me it sounded like it was going to be a LEGO-knockoff type of ship.

To be honest, as disappointing as it is, it's basically what they've always done when it comes to Borderlands lithographs. Crappy, never about the scenery.

Agreed, it's definitely not looking to be up to the quality of the RDR2 metal case (last case I purchased)

Cancelled this as well. Everything looks so cheap and not worth the additional money. I'll just stick to the steelbook edition and maybe pick this up when Game try and flog the excess stock later.
