I think the steelbook are actually available at all stores. Just so that you don't cancel your pre-order they decided to give it out as a pre-order bonus during the sale

Well being sealed does it matter. Won't be able to tell it's from one country or not.

Actually you will be able to tell from which country it is, since it has that band around the steelbook that tells you what are you holding in your hands in French/English/German/whatever

And well, for me it does matter, I'm not gonna keep it sealed, and I want to actually read that story.

The outer package of the FF-Steelbook will show the big green USK 12 sign and the novel will be probably in German.

If the short story is up somewhere, I would gladly help translate it. Especially if it's long. Could split it up or something.

Ah forgot about the band, In that case then it's important to get right version.

Could you not get an English book afterwards, I'm sure they will be many of those books and DLC cards on eBay after launch.
