Talking Too much "wow"

...

Another collection of speechless amazement. Collections like yours I don't know what to say at all...how about I'm spellbound? That's different.

Truly my friend, your entire collection is among the best I've seen.

A few questions and comments:

  1. Where the hell did you get a Mass Effect figurine, when the only official figurine I know of (the Liara T'Soni figure from Kotobukiya) hasn't been released yet!? This I find most puzzling.
  2. I'm not a Marvel vs Capcom fan (or a fighting game fan at all really) but the artistic beauty of your marvel vs capcom poster is just INCREDIBLE. I am in love with that man...
  3. Can you please tell me where I can buy those sleeves you are using for your Lithographs? They look like they are attached to each other, like a picture book would be. I'm very impressed with this. As it stands right now I'm using loose mylar sleeves to protect my lithographs (which are clumsy and hard to get the lithographs into) and I have an acid free white litho box 4" thick. If I could have my lithos in sleeves like yours I could actually have them semi displayed.
  4. I must know the origins of your ICO helmet! Please? Is it plastic?
  5. Uncharted 2 developer kit right? The one that looks like a book? Wow. Uncharted 2 folio? Wow. Dead Space ULE sealed?! Looks to me like you have all the necessary holy grails to make you a collecting force to be reckoned with!
And now, a hopping bunny with a pancake for your pleasure.

It'll be one of the best investments you've ever made! It stores all prints safely; and you can whip out your book at any time and admire your prints to your hearts desire!

I must know the origins of your ICO helmet![/B] Please? Is it plastic?

Yup, made of plastic. This was given to members of the press before the game released on the PS2. It's quite rare.

Uncharted 2 developer kit right? The one that looks like a book?

This was distributed to some retailers to create awareness for the game. I think it might have also been given to members of the press.

Thanks! I love my Dead Space ULE! The Uncharted folio is a grail piece to be sure as well!

Such a remarkable collection. Like everyone else, I absolutely love the art.
The Sander Cohen statue I got from one of the developers of the original game. The statue was not for sale anywhere. It was only given to members of the dev team from the original game. Ken Levine personally gave these statues away. He, as well as Robb Waters (the sculptor of the piece and lead art director of Bioshock) both personally signed the bottom of the base of the statue. Each statue is also individually numbered on the bottom of the base. I am keeping the number of my piece private to protect the identity of the original owner.

No question, this is easily one of the most prized pieces in my collection.

Thanks for answering all my gibber jab Monday! And thank you for being here and sharing your wonderful, inspiring collection with us all. By far, the Cohen statue, being signed and numbered as such would be the most special of all your items. That I can see for sure...

PS
Love your username and avatar pic! Quite unique. Where are you from? You have not specified a location. Curious.
Also, the Shepard statue from ME1, that link you showed me, that's just a presentation site right? You can't buy anything there? Where was it originally sold and where did YOU buy it? I'd love to get one of those. I'm a pretty big ME collector and have mostly all the official NTSC merchandise except for a few things from foreign countries...

PPS
Forgot to thank you for showing me the Portfolio book. That is absolutely FAN freaking tastic man. I never knew something like that existed. I searched, and searched and searched for months trying to find a safe, effective long term storage solution for my precious lithographs and the best I could come up with was "comic" book style mylar sleeves oversized, and an acid free box. This is just so great...I can't thank you enough!

The Profolio is really awesome. You won't regret buying it. Trust me.
The Commander Shepard statue was sold on the Bioware store years ago.
You couldn't buy it for retail now though. I'm sure you can find them on eBay though; of course, though, that also means that you can expect to get hammered hard on the price. I got mine on clearance at the Bioware online store and only paid something like $40. It sat on the Bioware store for ages. Part of the reason, I suspect, for why they cancelled the line is because the statues did not sell well at all. As I said, they had to go on clearance before they eventually sold them all. They had a Saren statue primed and ready to go too.

Damn shame that they cancelled the line. I'm hopeful that they'll eventually release high quality statues based on this series again.

Thanks again for all the nice comments everyone!

I still have more stuff that I have not photographed. Pics to come soon.
