this is supposedly gamestop germany exclusive...gamestop germany will hand out one with every full purchase..so how is one going to do group buy?..unless they were an insider or people were willing to pay full price for game..and will take the steelcase in whatever condition it comes in..dented, scratched, etc..

well if its released with the game then it be impossible but if u just have to put down for pre-order it might be possible. A couple of games as long as you pre-ordered like assassin creed 3 or dead island riptide they gave you the steel book way before the game even came out

Gamestop in Europe tend to only give them out with the game on release, I believe xx

I honestly have no idea what's the difference between a steelbook and a metal thingy... But I know for sure that I'll get this one.

Email response with gamestop.de results in the message that they are not shipping outside Germany. Luckily, I live near the border and the nearest Gamestop.de store is a 30 min drive, so I'm allowed to pick it up myself.

I've just had confirmation from Steelbook that this definitely isn't a steelbook.

They said that they were in contact with the publisher about it, but in the end, they weren't chosen to produce it (so it must be a metalpak then) xx

SteelBook is by popularity the most sought after, best packaged, and best made.

Iron Pack is a bit behind in the quality department.

Star Metal Paks are fine on the outside but the hinges and cut spine for the hinges are just attrocious and cheapy made
While MetalPak is a great product, it lacks the uniqueness, quality and buyer appeal of SteelBooks?.

Main difference is the Spine:

Metalpak Spine:

Steelbook Spine:

Ironpack Spine:

Closer look at Steelbook spine:

And looking inside:
Metalpak:

Steelbook:

Ironpack:

And the steelbook logo:

Hope that helps!!

That's somewhat worrisome then

Might indicate metal paks becoming more common in Germany

Could always rely on them for a couple great steelbook releases a year
