Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
Hey, looks like my drool would wipe off of that pretty easily. Would you say the coating enhances the color at all? Regular glass seems to actually dull the original colors on some of the prints I own. They were framed cheaply in off the rack frames though.

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
Normal glass (floatglass) does that. Museum glass is better.
http://www.flabeg.com/uploads/media/...tion_EN_02.pdf (Liquid) gloss has the same contrast enhancing qualities as Diasec with acrylic glass but saturates the colors slightly, making for a very vibrant piece or artwork.http://www.candb.com/en/faq/25/#question_22 I haven't been able to compare before/after yet. I have however seen a cutout of "The Team", and it looks quite dull as a print. Naturally I can't post a picture but when I first saw this (http://www.candb.com/en/artwork/352/...e-shard-d.html) with acryllic glass, I had to blink twice.

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
Museum glass is best though I do have plexi on on several prints (much lighter and less chance of damage from broken glass). I prefer to use all archival materials (acid free). I like my prints mint and never drymount or attach anything to them. Maybe I am picking but the diasec and liquid gloss processes just seems to destroy the prints value to me.

Quote:
= No borders, "stamp", and number on print. + a lifelong guarantee the print will last. I do see your point if this isn't offered by the seller. On the other hand the print will be very well protected unless you damage it yourself. Then again that can also be said if you use acid-free materials.

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
What I find interesting is the point you just brought up.
If you get it unframed you get a 1. Signature on the front 2. Signature on the back 3. Number on the front of the print 4. Signed certificate of authenticity. If you get it framed you get a 1. Signature on the back 2. Numbered sticker on the back (This should be signed as well!) 3. Signed certificate of authenticity. Basically you lose out on a signature if you get it framed. You do get a cleaner more professional look but still, if Mr. Levine needs to sign for the unframed prints three times, he should do it for the framed ones as well! Hahah, I'm only kidding, but just a little bit... Last edited by Amnoz; 04-26-2013 at 08:23 PM. |

I was always getting unframed, but yeah, I picked that up as well from the first post. I def wanted the sig on the front as well.

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
Do you plan to have them framed?

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
That's one expensive frame job you got ahead of you. Congrats on the prints though! Might have gone them myself but I just do not have wall space for them and they won't fit in the flat file. Please take picks once they're up!

Re: Bioshock Infinite (Cook & Becker)
Nah. Not any time soon at least. I have literally nowhere to display them. I already have like 15 framed pieces. No more wall space.
