If I ordered it from amazon I would only get charged an extra US$25 for quick shipping! But it doesn't cost too much more here so I'll just get my copies locally.

I prefer to buy it from Amazon.com because I have never received any damaged goods from them. I don't trust gamestop and the other retailers that sell this CE.

Those import fees you get in Europe really sucks! That's basically an extra US$45 for nothing!! I'm afraid Australia will also get those in the future if rumours come to reality!

An alternative way of ordering for you would be from game4game, they're selling for 150 EUR + shipping [10 EUR??].

It's not too much a cost difference with the US version you've preordered, and at least the DLC is more obtainable as well instead of buying it off the US store...unless you're getting the PC version? Or you have other reasons.

That's cool, a price drop would also be pretty good which occasionally happens. But I find price drops occurring more right after release, although that's for items that's not so limited.

I was thinking of getting the PC version, but I'm not a huge PC gamer and if I do I'd just get it on Steam or a GOTY version [when on sale of course].

Given the design quality of the packaging being so good for Oblivion and New Vegas Collector's Edition I am confident that the packaging for Skyrim's Collector Edition will impress. Now, remember, I'm talking about the design of the packaging, NOT the products inside (like the statue, special game case or artbook). To me as a collector, the outer packaging is so important because I like to often leave the collectible sealed, however, the artbook should be high quality as I already said and the statue is modeled from a high render of the dragon in game so should be good too.

That's what I thought, but I got the 360 instead because I am getting the GOTY version on PC.

Anyone have word on if this game Skyrim will be crammed into just 1 DVD disc for 360? I find that hard to believe they can get it all on 1 DVD, but I've seen nothing to the contrary yet...

Pre-ordered mine, although I hope the price does get reduced to around £100 before release as I do feel £130 is a bit steep, especially if these are going to be relatively common and sold at half price shortly after release in teh Xmas sales if they remain unsold on pre-orders...
