Yeah, good question Madigan. I'm interested in the watch but just can't afford to break the bank anymore than I already have after buying the artbook and dev edition. If they were announced/released a few months apart from each other, I probably would have bought the watch as well.

Probably just trying to strike while the iron is hot. Right now Dead Space 3 is going to be at its peak in terms of overall interest; so it makes sense to release all of these goodies now, as opposed to later down the line. It's better for sales is what I'm trying to say.

That's just my guess, of course.

You can pre order several CEs 2-6 months in advance, for example the post pandemic edition.

TreeHouse keeps releasing ME items and the interest is still there (the watch, the comic books, the reaper replica), of course you can't do the same with a CE.

Oh, I don't know yet. I hope they will, but I haven't even sent the email yet. I'm gonna send it later tonight. Treehouse customer service is closed on the weekends, so they wouldn't have gotten back to me with an answer at this point anyway; and I really didn't want to bother Ryan with this either. Hopefully I'll have an answer by Tuesday at the latest.

My Dev-Edition arrived on Thursday and I've got to say the quality of the contents is outstanding! I really happy I picked this up!!!

In a way I got a crappy number but in a way I didn't... My edition number is 4529 but what's kind of cool is I just turned 29 on January 21st. So it sort of commemorates how old I was when I got it... I actually planned it to be a belated birthday gift to myself when I ordered it.

To me that's an odd coincidence and makes it kinda cool!

Mortal Monday, I hope you get a replacement. That's too bad about your posters but I bet they hook you up.

xpl0sive I owe you a big thanks too mate, I had all but given in to the idea of being shafted for $350 by an eBay vulture. I spent every spare moment during the last week alternating between ea store, figuring out which is the least terrible deal on eBay and gradually Reading through this, now rather lengthy, thread - and I hadn't read thepage before! Lol owe you a huge thanx mate, luckily when I read your post there was still plenty of time to set my alarm and get in quick.

And might I say how impressed with and glad to be a part of this community I am, I joined CE in the quest for a DS3 dev team edition, but I've been a collector for a long time, what a great bunch of people to share ones passion with, a place free from haters and animosity, just people enjoying their hobby and helping one another out to further advance their collection, feels good to be a part of such a community. Rare to find a place like this exists within the gaming forums universe, a place so often teaming with angry people out to prove a point at your expense.

I look forward to sharing many more personal CE stories with you and hearing all about yours! Go team CE
