I do understand and agree that when you get great deals on something like that you can't expect a collectors packing mentality but again the whole listening thing is what bothers me and all that
Oh you def have the right to expect the same of all items I m just trying to say that someone who lists something badly or has no idea of value needs a damn sight more guidance than the experienced seller offering a well listed 'buy it now' option....

Or even why I am asking you to package this, in what seems like an over the top way of packaging then I can explian, my post man is an idiot and constantly drops mail or sits on it and this excessive amounts t of packaging is required in order that the items arrives undamaged

Or you could try the truth
The border forces employee sniffer dogs to sniff everything coming into the country I live in, and what they do is let the dogs walk all over the mail and scratch at all of it, some of these dogs weigh in excess of 30 KGs and the packaging needs to be able to withstand that weight on it and also offer enough protection that if the package is pieces by a claw that the contents do not come into contact with a claw
(That's how border agencies generally work to the vest of my knowledge)
Lowly you are on fire tonight!!!

I also tell them to wrap it in a generous amount of extra bubble wrap because they are very fragile and I don't want it getting damaged at all. There is NO excuse for them still royally mucking it up.

Even if I didn't do that, though. Regardless of understanding collectors or not, shouldn't it be common practice to send things in a way so that they don't get damaged? That just seems like basic level business. Like the people that send boxed games in a padded envelope. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that the tiniest amount of pressure will result in major damage to the product. You don't have to understand the mentality of your buyer, but it is the seller's job to deliver the item in the same condition that it was sold in. That goes for items in any category.

You take my second paragraph and add it into my first paragraph about blatantly spelling it out for them, and there is less than no excuse for all the damaged products I am constantly receiving and having to deal with.
With the detail you give there is no excuse...

On your other point 'it doesn't take a genius' sadly ebay is populated by those whose brain cell took a walk long ago cos it got lonely....

Me going
To the majority of the world at a consumer level and a retail level and often at a supplier and manufacture level
The content s of the package is the item that is of value and therefore the item that must at all costs not get damaged
Therefore
The box, any seal or shrink wrap, internal packaging is not as important and can receive a moderate amount t of damage as long as it still functions and does its job
Its job is to endure the safe arrival of the product inside
So trying to make sure the item arrives undamaged is easy as the original box it came in was designed to ensure that happened already

You have to explain that the condition of the item is more important then the actual item or items within the package
The external appearance is the most important thing to you, and if it becomes damaged in any way how ever minor, be it a tiny 1 mm dent to a corner or a tiny 1 mm fold along one edge then you will not be happy
And will have to leave bad feedback if your packing guidelines where not adhered too

When you consider that many of us have recently received Ellie CEs from Game in Jiffy bags with crushed cardboard outers and can either return for a refund but no replacement as they are sold out or an on to the battered up box what lead do these user sellers have to follow?!?

Sorry I didn't understand
I saw the question marks
But didn't understand what the question is
So I am hoping it was a rhetorical question
